We extend much needed resources into the lives of women and men who will survive cancer because they were screened; children who will discover the world through a books beyond the classroom and a community of people who will build something of their own with a hand up not a hand out.

Our Mission

To save and elevate lives in Ugenya by delivering community-rooted programmes in preventative cancer health, accessible and globally connected education, and grassroots economic empowerment — anchored by a permanent community resource centre and guided by the enduring values of Jane Adewa and the community she loved.

Our Vision

To see a world where no man or woman dies of preventable cancer, every child has access to knowledge beyond the classroom, and every family in rural Ugenya, Siaya County has the resources to build lasting prosperity.

Every programme we design, every partnership we build, and every dollar we raise in service of our programs are in keeping with our guiding principles.

Investing early in health education and screening saves more lives than any downstream treatment programme.

Behind every legacy, stands a circle of people willing to carry it forward. Meet the dedicated individuals who steward Jane’s vision with purpose, integrity in an unwavering commitment to the communities she loved.

Joseph has spent over five decades at the forefront of East Africa’s commercial and public-interest landscape. A seasoned executive with four decades leading petroleum, FMCG and road safety enterprises, he served as Deputy Managing Director of Total Kenya Limited and founded Safeway Right Way, a World Bank–Total Group initiative that advanced road safety across Africa. He currently chairs Road Safety Management Systems Limited.

The Foundation was established in memory of his late wife, Jane. Joseph brings to its governance the same strategic clarity, institutional discipline and unshakeable community commitment that defined his executive career.

Beverly is a communications and PR strategist with over two decades of experience across East Africa, having held senior roles at Brand Kenya Board, WPP Scangroup, Nation Media Group and BusinessCom Consulting. She has led integrated communication strategies for major multinationals, corporates, government bodies and media houses — from designing large-scale training programmes to advising national ministries and commercial banks. She holds a Bachelor of Communication from the University of Canberra and certifications in ESG, Google Cloud digital leadership and AI.

Beverly brings strategic acumen, digital fluency and creative vision to the Foundation’s leadership — grounded in a deeply personal commitment to the cause she co-founded in memory of her mother, Jane.

Oluremi Sano is a global entrepreneur, with global outreach in the Educational Technology space. She is an Executive Business Coach and Advisor to over 250 nonprofit and for-profit social impact organizations, in USA, Senegal, Ghana, Barbados, Guinea Conakry and Kenya. Ms. Sano’s expertise in organizational infrastructure development and professional fundraising for busy business owners makes her a very valuable addition to the board of JMAA, and to the sustainability of our efforts and initiatives.
